We are a local medical cannabis dispensary in the heart of Santa Rosa, CA. This page contains information that will help you understand how to enroll and what to expect when you visit us.

We try our best to be the fastest dispensary intake in Sonoma county. So, you can expect (in under 20 minutes) to walk into our dispensary, sign up as a member and enter our dispensary.

Our staff are all Oaksterdam University trained. Not only are they super friendly, but they are all knowledgeable, compassionate and here to teach others the best ways to use cannabis.

How to Become an SPG Patient

You’ll need the following to join Sonoma Patient Group:

  1. Valid State issued identification, Passport or other approved U.S. government identification
  2. Current Doctor Cannabis Recommendation Letter or State Issued Card.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about Sonoma Patient Group

Q: Where we are located?

A:  2425 Cleveland Ave, Suite #175, Santa Rosa, Ca. We are located on the west side of Cleveland Ave one block north of Guerneville Road. We are next to Big-5 sporting goods and across the street from Orchard Hardware. There is ample parking provided for your convenience. See an interactive map.

Q: What should I bring to become a new patient?

A:  We will need you to provide us to become a patient:

  1. Valid State issued identification, Passport or other approved U.S. government identification
  2. Current Doctor Cannabis Recommendation Letter or State Issued Card.
  3. A completed Member Application (download here)

Q: Is an Appointment needed to become a new patient?

A: Never! Please walk in when you are ready to register. Our staff are ready to assist you with friendly and helpful answers to your questions.

Q: How does the process work?

A: When you enter, please check in to the front desk and let them know that you are a new patient. The staff will ask for your identification and Doctor’s Recommendation. We will give you a new patient form to complete. While you are working on the form, we will call the doctor’s office to verify your recommendation is valid.

Normally, we can process your new patient paperwork within 20 minutes! SPG strives to make the whole new patient registration process as quick and pain-less as possible. (Occasionally, we are unable to verify a new patient’s recommendation immediately and must wait for your doctor’s office to return our call.)

Q: When can I make my first purchase?

A:  Immediately! Once our staff gets your paperwork complete and your recommendation verified, you are permitted to enter the dispensary. All new patients receive a FREE GIFT with a minimum purchase.

Q: Can I bring a friend to shop with me?

A:  Yes if your friend is a registered patient or caregiver with us otherwise they are invited to wait in our lobby until you are done with your visit. Ask us about our “Refer-A-Friend” Program.

Q: Are minors allowed into the dispensary?

A:  Registered minor patients are allowed into the dispensary when they are accompanied by their parent, legal guardian or Registered Caregiver otherwise minors are not permitted.

Q: What if I don’t know anything about marijuana?

A:  Once you are a registered patient with SPG, our staff will be happy to assist you with training, usage, proper personal medication dosing, supplies and information. As part of our on-going patient education program, we recommend you pick up a monthly calendar which lists classes on a wide variety of topics.

Q: I have never been to a dispensary. What should I expect?

A: Our dispensary is set up to display our products in a bright, open, professional manner. Samples of the currently available marijuana flower products are displayed in glass cases. They are available to see and smell before you purchase. We also have a wide selection of edibles and other products to serve your needs. Our specially trained budtenders are available to answer your questions and make recommendations based on your specific needs. Occasionally there may be a short wait for your turn with a budtender, but we strive to provide each patient with the right product for their needs.

Q: I am a recreational user. Can I make purchases from SPG?

A: Unfortunately, the answer is no. The current regulation allows recreational use but does not allow for SPG to sell to non-medical patients. The new recreational user law will allow you to make purchases at designated recreational use sites after January 1st, 2018.
