Sonoma Patient Group Past

Sonoma Patient Group began in 2004, though its roots go much deeper. Born from the Caregiver Compassion Center in Santa Rosa, California, the Cleveland Avenue location changed its name but kept its focus on helping educate its patients while providing a community service.

Sonoma Patient Group has always sought to be a positive influence in their community by creating a place that is safe for those in need of healing. For years after a previous dispensary he managed was raided, John Sugg began the Caregiver Compassion Center, first on Montgomery Drive then in the current Cleveland location.

In 2007, Jewel Mathieson’s desire for advocacy, service and education, lead them to found the Sonoma Patient Group. This passion continues to empower the work they do today, with the dispensary serving as a natural healing center for those in pain.

Sonoma Patient Group Present

Initially limited to 500 patients per month, Sonoma Patient Group embraced the “small is beautiful” mindset. As the dispensary has grown larger, John, Jewel, Leanne Nakashima and Nicole Williams have chosen to continue to value individual attention, care, compassion and education.

As long-standing advocates for social and legal change, the team works with customers to pin-point their individual needs and assist them in the understanding and purchase of the medicine that will help treat and relieve their symptoms.

With the passage of Proposition 64, Sonoma Patient Group was poised to enter the adult recreational market as the compassionate, educating option for those who want to heal through natural medicine or choose it for their healthy lifestyle. Sonoma Patient Group uses the same caring and patient approach to their new adult customers as they have always had towards their medical Cannabis patients.

Sonoma Patient Group Future

Sonoma Patient Group’s story is only beginning. Soon Sonoma Patient Group will be moving to a new location, only a few doors away from their current dispensary. The new location is three times the square footage, which will allow Sonoma Patient Group to accommodate more customers and carry an even larger selection of cannabis products.

Sonoma Patient Group is positioned to become a destination for Cannabis tourism in Sonoma County, but still maintain its roots as a compassionate source of medical Cannabis for our longtime loyal patients.
